How Hair Oils Can Help Grow Hair

Among the best methods to help your hair grow faster is simply by making certain it’s properly hydrated and fed by making use of hair oils. Many also provide antibacterial and antifungal benefits to your hair. Quite a few oils also carry a great scent, and it’s fun to mix and match oils to come up with your own custom combinations. But, what hair oils are essential to helping your hair grow faster?

Just an aside
prior to getting started, note that we’ll be referring to both Essential oils (capital E) as well as oils such as avocado oil, which, while not technically classified as “essential” oils, are oils that could be an essential part of your hair care routine, and can be used as a foundation to add other stronger essential oils to.

As
spoken about in other articles, avocado is packed with monounsaturated fats. These healthy fats are not only great in your diet, they can help in keeping your hair hydrated when employed as a hair oil, and can help with the help of your scalp when rubbed into your hair by boosting scalp circulation. It also contains a high amount of vitamin E.

A true “essential oil”, tea tree oil is one of my
favorite oils to use in hair and skin products. It smells amazing, and the tingle you get when putting it on is extremely satisfying. Tea tree oil works well in helping rid your scalp of dandruff, and destroys harmful bacteria that may be living on your scalp. Don't forget, however, that this essential oil is very strong-you won’t want to use it by itself. Either purchase a product containing up to 5% tea tree oil, or blend it with a “carrier” oil such as coconut, jojoba, or avocado oil.

Argan oil is
another great oil to help make your hair grow faster. Produced from the argan tree, argan oil is loaded with essential fatty acids. Like several other oils, it can help moisturize your hair, limiting split ends and frizz. It may also add shine to your hair, and protect it against injuries caused by heat or color treatment. Beware-many health products which claim to contain argan oil may only have tiny quantities. You can buy this oil by itself, and apply directly to hair or use it in your own DIY hair oil project.

Coconut oil
is yet another oil that has, in the past a few years, became a buzz-worthy addition to the world of health. Users promote it’s capacity to help with a wholesome diet plan, as well as in skin treatment. It’s also a first class hair oil. Coconut oil helps hair by keeping it hydrated, like other oils, and also keeping it soft. Unlike many products used to treat hair, coconut oil will be able to permeate deep into your hair, fixing hair from the inside out. Coconut oil will also help kill off harmful bacteria living on your scalp, and add to the overall shine of your hair.

Another
awesome oil to use to promote faster hair growth is jojoba oil. This oil is, structurally, very like the natural oils your scalp generates. It can help your hair get a healthy amount of oil, and also works to clear up old sebum that can be clogging your hair follicles. Like many of the other oils mentioned, jojoba oil has antibacterial properties, and helps to moisturize your hair. It can be rubbed directly into your hair and scalp, or added to your conditioner to produce extra hair benefits.

Hemp oil is
yet another notable oil for hair health because it contains both Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. What’s more, it has these fats in a ratio to one another that is most valuable to your body. Some individuals are a bit concerned about using hemp oil, since it is derived from cannabis plants, but no worries-hemp oil does not contain THC.

Like other oils in this article, castor oil can help your hair grow faster by
helping secure moisture. Make sure you apply it to your hair when wet. Also, castor oil might be thick, so go easy at first. In addition, it serves as a great “carrier” oil-use it as a base when making your very own hair oils by adding essential oils such as peppermint, rosemary, or lavender.Apart from the oils listed above, there are many other wonderful essential oils for hair. Rosemary oil and sandalwood oil have both been recommended to treat overly dry hair, while oily scalps might gain from peppermint, lemon, or lavender oil. Thyme, sage, and cedarwood are other great, good smelling oils that you can include in a base of avocado oil, castor oil, hemp oil, or other oils to come up with your own special concoction.
